The player had several features I loved, but after the first six months, it was gone for service. It just stops and it's done. Better after third repair. three times. Guess it's a new brand for me.It was a great size, nice features, but they lose value when repeatedly being repaired. Over all in two years, it required 5 service calls. they replaced all guts.mother board, etc. Very noisy boot, after second repair it was hard to hear the movie due to operation noise.
I think it overheats. I had difficulty with over 90 minutes. It's been back a couple months after the fifth total overhaul and the extended warranty has expired. Last repair it was gone a month.
Great DVD player, easily portable, good sound quality. Even plays CD's. Good battery life.
We bought it for a 5 hour airplane ride back East with our then 2 and 3 year old. You could hear the player just fine.We have used the player on 3 subsequent plane rides. It has a nice picture and easy to understand buttons that even my 4 year old has figured out. I am so glad we purchased this player. It works awesome. Since they are videos they have watch a zillion times, they don't care about the audio.We have used the player in our rental minivans on several trips, I bought a case that hangs between the seats.
My kids wouldn't keep the headphones on so they just watched it.

Last month our old DVD player hooked up to our second TV in the house quit.
After reading reviews I wasn't so sure.
We have also used it to hook up to motel televisions to watch movies.
You can't hear the sound on an airplane.
You have to use headphones, which is the only courteous thing to do.
Instead of buying a new one since we may go Blu-ray eventually, we hooked up this player to the TV.
This little player has been through lots of things and it still works as well as it did when we bought it.
I bought mine and after four or five months, it stopped functioning properly. Was told I would have to sent the player in, pay for shipping and handling. Tomorrow morning I will be looking for someone locally to repair it, if they can.Also, I agree with the other reviewers about the sound too. I would play the disc and again it would stop, even after I cleaned everything. I would play it in the kitchen mostly, during the day, while everyone was at work. Then it would run, but not play. First it started stopping. Also the pay $45 for labor and any parts required, as well as shipping and handling upon return.
I bought mine from Best Buy which went out of business. I forgot about the player till it was time for another trip, so I called LG. I have it on high and I can barely hear it. I gave it one star because I had to.
Purchased this Portable DVD player for my Grandson to use while flying to see us (2-3 hr flight). HE LOVES IT, and the battery life of > 3 hrs is HUGE plus. Recommend.
